The Group completed the acquisition of 100% stake in Acclivis Technologies and Solutions Pte. Ltd.
Acclivis Technologies and Solutions Pte. Ltd is a cross-region integrated ICT service provider, focusing on offering ISP, Cloud and SI services to enterprise customers. It has Cloud facilities in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. And it owns Pacific Internet, the famous ISP brand, in Singapore and Thailand.
After the acquisition, the Group possess a comprehensive ICT service capability, including voice, mobile, ISP, SI, Cloud and professional services, in the Southeast Asia region, and becoming a competitive service provider which offers cross-region, one-stop and end-to-end service.
The Group completed the acquisition of CITIC Telecom Tower
CTT will be re-developed to high-grade data centre. After renovation, the new data centre in CTT will have the capacity of providing 4,000 racks, ranking among the top ten data centre in Hong Kong, and it will be the largest data centre in a self-owned property in western Hong Kong.

CITIC Telecom launched the world's first mobile data trading platform - "DataMall"
DataMall is the first international mobile data traffic trading platform in the world. Through this platform, operators may provide local data services to mobile phone users visiting from overseas, these users can do it without changing their SIM card, mobile phone numbers or using any external devices, and they can subscribe, pay for and use the service through the devices and mobile apps of the platform’s business partners.
DataMall is a major breakthrough in the conventional overseas roaming business and technological model in the internet era. It marks a departure from the ’mutual agency model’ of conventional roaming service. DataMall delivers a ’direct transaction’ between local operators and consumers, giving consumers the choice of choosing a specific overseas data network and turning data traffic into a tradable commodity around the world.
The Group completed the acquisition of CTM (99%)
The Group signed the sale and purchase agreement with Cable & Wireless Communications Plc and Portugal Telecom, SGPS, S.A. to acquire 79% interest of CTM.
CITIC Telecom increased its shareholding in CTM to 99% (remaining 1% is held by the Macau Post Office).
The acquisition has a strategic significance for the development of CITIC Telecom International. The Group has transformed from serving operators to becoming an operator itself. The Group’s revenue, profitability and scale have improved significantly, making it one of the most important milestones in the history of the Group’s development.
The acquisition is also the largest controlling stake acquisition project completed by a Chinese telecom enterprise outside the PRC in the history.
The Group completed the acquisition 49% of China Entercom
CEC was established in 2000 and headquartered in Beijing. It is a leading IP-VPN service provider in China. Apart from the top three Chinese local operators, it is also the first independent VPN service provider to be awarded the national IP-VPN license by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in the PRC to provide VPN service nationally.
Through the integration of CEC’s network in the PRC, the Group can directly provide IP-VPN services to enterprise customers, which created synergies with the Group’ s another subsidiary – CPC.

The Group completed the acquisition of Macquarie Telecom Pte Limited (Singapore)
Macquarie Telecom Pte Limited (Singapore) is a renowned telecom service provider. Its key business was providing voice and data services for enterprise customers.
Such acquisition further expanded the Group’s business in Singapore.
Completed the acquisition of ChinaMotion Netcom Limited and its subsidiaries
ChinaMotion Netcom was engaged in international voice wholesale business, as well as retail business in several overseas markets.
In that year when we finished the acquisition, over 50% of China’s incoming IDD traffic was handled by CITIC 1616’s telecom hub.
The Group’s business coverage expanded from mainland China and Hong Kong to Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada, thus becoming a Chinese telecommunications company with the largest geographical coverage in overseas retail telecommunications market.
The Group completed the acquisition of 100% stake in CPCNet Hong Kong Ltd.
We acquired the entire interests of CPCNet Hong Kong Limited from our parent company CITIC Pacific. CPCNet was engaged in providing enterprise telecommunications service.

It has many branch offices worldwide and it is dedicated to providing cutting-edge communications services and information technology solutions. It is always the most trusted partner of multinational companies and business partners.
The enterprise service sector — the second business pillar of the Group apart from international telecommunications business — began to form.
The Group was listed on the Main Board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange in Apr 2007 with stock code 1883

Establishment of the Company
1616 is one of the first international telecom service providers connecting mainland China operators to foreign operators. In the 1990s, during the rapid development period of China’s telecom industry, domestic operators focused on building network and expand business in the PRC. There was a shortage of telecom service supply. Under this situation, 1616 seized the opportunity to take advantage of Hong Kong as an Asia-Pacific international telecommunications hub to build a platform to connect with foreign operators. Inbound and outbound voice, text message and international telecommunications business of China can connect with hundreds of foreign operators around the world through the 1616 platform.
