Hong Kong, 25 June 2025 – CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited (“CITIC Telecom” or the “Group”; stock code: 1883), a leading multinational internet-oriented telecommunications services enterprise in the Asia Pacific, was recently invited to participate in the Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2025 (“MWC Shanghai 2025”), and showcased the strengths of its smart solutions at the GSMA Pavilion. As the largest and most influential mobile communications industry event in Asia, MWC Shanghai brings together representatives from global carriers, suppliers, and solution providers to engage in in-depth discussions on topics of 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘5G Inside’, ‘AI+’, ‘Connected Industries’, and ‘Connected Enablers’. CITIC Telecom’s management, along with the core business and sales teams participated in the event to gain insights into the latest industry developments and innovative technologies, and their impact on future industry and societal growth. The Group also showcased its own innovative technologies at the conference, with multiple smart projects set to drive innovative practices, accelerate digital transformation, create new opportunities, and stimulate new growth.

CITIC Telecom participated in China Telecom AI+ Network Capability Launch Conference and presented its “Intelligent Financial Fraud Shield” solutions. The CITIC Telecom team also demonstrated the “RJet” project, which won third prize in the “Open Gateway Global Use Case Innovation Challenge” held earlier at MWC25 Barcelona in Spain. With a focus on smart tourism, the “RJet” innovation project integrates advanced digital intelligence technology with the GSMA Open Gateway standards, showcasing the innovative application of cutting-edge technologies in smart tourism scenarios. Furthermore, it enabled the deep incorporation with the development of Hong Kong and Macau as international smart tourism destinations.

The team was also invited to showcase at the GSMA booth, presented several of its smart products, including “Intelligent Financial Fraud Shield”, “Global Smart Mobile Authentication Service”, “Roaming Data Acceleration on Demand”, “Cross-border 5G SD-WAN Private Line Service”, and “International Data Express Service”, and explored cooperation opportunities with partners.

CITIC Telecom has further strengthened its collaborative synergy with industry partners, receiving two prestigious awards from China Unicom and China Telecom: “UniCom Global Partner Awards 2025 ‘Excellent Partners of the Year – DIGITAL APPLICATION’” and “China Telecom Global Partner Awards 2025 – Strategic Partnership Excellence Award”, and jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Mobile International, to strengthen cooperation by leveraging on the competitive advantages from both sides, and to foster high quality development in the telecommunications industry.
