The 8th Digital China Summit grandly opened at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center on April 28 – 1 May 2025. CITIC Telecom and the Shenzhen Data Exchange (SZDE) co-hosted and debuted at the summit. CITIC Telecom was invited to exhibit on the theme of “Globalization and Digital Intelligence Technology” and achieved several awards, demonstrating its cutting-edge practices in the digital domain while highlighting CITIC Group’s service brand: “CITIC, Your Trusted Partner for Going Global and Coming to China”.

As a world-leading multinational communications and digital services provider, CITIC Telecom created an immersive interactive exhibition zone at the summit. The zone showcased core capabilities such as 5G application, international data business and AI-related innovative business, cross-border data security solutions, smart city cloud-network integration technologies, and international communication hub services. Through dynamic models, real-time data interaction demonstrations, and other engaging formats, the company vividly displayed its achievements in digital infrastructure development across countries along the Belt and Road Initiative and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, underscoring its commitment to empowering global connectivity through technology.

The final of the 2025 Digital China Innovation Contest was successfully held at the summit. The competition attracted more than 7,300 teams to sign up and the competition was fierce. CITIC Telecom CPC, the subsidiary of CITIC Telecom won the third prize of Data Element Track in the contest with its project named “Water Regime Forecast in the Minjiang River Basin Based on Artificial Intelligence” (“基于人工智能的闽江流域水情预报”). The achievement signified CITIC Telecom’s capabilities in AI and innovation, further driven the company’s future development.

During the summit, CITIC Telecom was invited by Shanghai Data Bureau to be the first batch of companies to participate in the opening ceremony of “Smart Terminal Overseas Service Innovation Consortium” (“智能终端出海服务创新联合体”), which showed CITIC Telecom, as a member of CITIC Group, actively responds to national strategies and initiatives, and fulfill our mission to empower the global development of Chinese companies through technological innovation.

Besides, CITIC Telecom team participated in the China Telecom Kunlun Ecological Alliance Roundtable Forum and delivered a keynote speech during the summit. After five rounds of fierce voting and judges, CITIC Telecom’s financial fraud prevention service and roaming acceleration package service stood out from more than 100 projects, and were selected as top 10 lighthouse projects of China Telecom Kunlun Platform Lighthouse Project. China Telecom will execute the project and engage business promotion.
