This agreement marks the transition of the cross-border circulation of data elements in the Greater Bay Area from mechanism exploration to practical implementation, and will further build a cross-border data service system of “technology + scenario + ecology”.

CITIC Telecom is committed to enabling the circulation of data elements and helping enterprises to expand their global presence through technological innovation and ecological cooperation. We actively implement three major practices for the circulation of data elements: 1. Build infrastructure and consolidate the foundation of data flow; 2. We have created several core platforms, such as the “Cross-border Mobile Communication Service Platform”, the “Global Traffic Trading Platform “DataMall自由行”, through techniques in combination and encapsulation, we support efficient cross-border data flow. By leveraging on our self-developed “data asset service technology platform”, we help enterprises improve their operational efficiency. In Southeast Asia, we provide enterprises with one-stop ICT services for “going global” through local teams, reducing the risks of cross-border data flows.

In the future, CITIC Telecom will continue to work with Shenzhen Data Exchange to actively participate in cross-border markets and ecosystems, focus on the reform of market-oriented allocation of data elements, cultivate new quality productive forces, foster the Greater Bay Area to build a digital economy with global competitiveness, and contribute “Bay Area power” to the construction of Digital China.
