Environment Protection
The world is facing severe climate change issues. CITIC Telecom International is proactively and responsibly assessing the opportunities and risks that climate change brings to the Group's business operations in order to achieve the goal of sustainable development. Our ESG Committee regularly reviews sustainable development agendas and continuously evaluates the impact of climate change. We have also been researching the feasibility of conducting comprehensive climate risk assessments to align our business more closely with sustainable development principles and address emerging threats.
The Group has set up and regularly reviewed our environmental related policies. Here is our Green Policy:
- Set, monitor and regularly review our environmental targets; take reasonable and feasible measures to continually improve our environmental performance
- Optimise the use of resources and reduce waste by implementing the 4Rs Environmental Management Model: Reduce, Recycle, Reuse, and Replace
- Comply with all relevant environmental laws and regulations and ensure all staff comply to the requirements
- Communicate and promote our environmental policies and performance to our stakeholders
- Raise environmental awareness among our staff through awareness campaigns and training programmes, encouraging active participation in environmental protection
